Huff Run Watershed Restoration Partnership, Inc Monthly Meeting
October 18, 2005

Ed called meeting to order at 5:45pm
Ed read treasures report (Judy was absent)
Carl approved Bo Seconded

Carl motioned to accept, Bo Seconded the motion


Old Business
Tour follow-up
Cheryl offered some comments from guests
All agreed to reformat the tour without the tour bus
Kirk Featheringham called about ruts in his yards
Carl said Phil and himself would fix the problem: will take care of the issue as soon as possible, this week or early next week. Need to talk to Phil.


New Business
Project Update: Cheryl
90% submittal by ATC for Harsha North
Buckeye mining is drilling on Harsha North, but not drilling the east side
There are additional monitoring wells on Harsha South, Jim purged them Tuesday morning
Lyons is on schedule, may need extension if a significant amount of rain occurs


Terri gave a
VISTA update on the fair and festival displays.  She also gave an update on community outreach events including a demonstration to the Mineral Senior Center and   a letter to the Mineral City Baseball association about their new ball field and its affect on Huff Run.

Maureen discussed the Crossroads RC&D meeting and luncheon.  Requested that the group pay to send Ed and her to the meeting and luncheon.  Huff Run is on the agenda for discussion.
Carl motioned to send the two representatives to the meeting. Bo seconded the motion. Motion was approved.


Maureen invited the Huff Run group to Rural Action’s Renewing Our Communities Fundraiser luncheon. Passed out invitations.

Maureen also discussed the appllying for an
OSM grant Harsha North
Needs to be completed next summer under the Ohio 319 Grant with ODNR/MRM
Need match grant from OSM
Rural Action should administer the grant because the administrative costs of $1500.00 could be put towards Maureen’s salary or other HRWRP office needs.
Carl said “no MOU, no grants” in regards to Rural Action.
Advisory committee needs to hold a meeting to discuss this issue.
